With an estimated 17,362 population distributed over 86 ha of land, Tribeca, originally written as TriBeCa, is a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan in New York City and is an acronym of Triangle Below Canal (making reference to Canal Street). It began as farmland and was then a residential area in the early 19th-century. Then, it became a mercantile district centered on produce, dry good, and textiles. Once home to industrial warehouses, TriBeCa is now the land of celebrity-owned lofts. It’s easy to see why.
You can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Hudson River from the neighborhood’s western border. There are also many notable restaurants in the area, such as the Odeon, famous for its novel Bright Lights, Big City, as well a variety of luxury hotels and other accommodations. Tribeca Film Festival is held in the neighborhood every year, bringing world-premiere films to the City. Bookworms who love wine will also easily fall in love with this area of New York. The Mysterious Bookshop is the perfect place for mystery and literature lovers, as well as bookworms. It’s hidden among Tribeca’s bars, lounges, restaurants, and other lively venues. Want to grab a bite? Let’s go to the Grand Banks! You are sitting on a historic ship called F/V Sherman Zwicker on the Hudson River and can enjoy New York from the water when the weather is fine. The place also serves great drinks and seafood! Now that we’re completely full, let’s take a stroll around Tribeca. This is one of New York’s most loved neighborhoods. It is easy to imagine the old industrial buildings and cobblestone streets. It is also one of the most costly neighborhoods in New York. In the past, it was primarily a place for the textile business. It’s very similar to SoHo. In the 1970s, the industry began to decline, and artists and creatives began to flock to Tribeca. Tribeca has been a favorite spot for New York’s celebrities and the wealthy over the years. If you’re a movie freak and a fan of the classic Ghostbusters, no matter how broke you are, you will feel the need to visit the fire station that was featured in the movie Ghostbusters. It’s an iconic location and even has the Ghostbusters logo on the sidewalk. “Who you gonna call?” Our last stop– well, do you know there’s the smallest museum located in New York? Now you do. It’s called The Mmuseumm. The exhibits are treasures from all over the world that present their view of life. In short: Small miracles – more really doesn’t fit in the elevator. A view through the window is possible at any time of the day or night – but this museum is only open on Saturdays. There is still a lot to put on the list, but we’ll surely end up making a whole book to write everything!
